What do you think it is about The Bear that kept people going back, even though it's this very highly stressful environment?

I mean, even though I think a lot of people haven't worked in restaurants, they've been in restaurants.

I think food is one of the great connecting points for all of us.

But also, the show came out, like... after COVID, you know, and Evan actually said this in an interview, and I think about it a lot, but I think lockdown made us all think about our work lives, what work means to our lives, and that When you work somewhere, especially if you've worked there for a long time, I mean, this really is, you have like a second family.

One of the things that the show does explore really well is that feeling, and that feeling of like your second family, your found family, and the impact that you can have on each other's lives.

I think that many people, it's a question sometimes in some families where it's how do you love someone who's not always so lovable? What did you all learn about that in your characters?

One of Sydney's journeys is realizing that, especially when we meet her in season one, she's not very good at talking.

So people are communicating, but that she has not only that capacity, but to foster the growth of others.
