probably the most, like, or one of the most... equal partnership pieces i've made where jerry and i really were co-creators and you know i mean she she should be here talking about this too but we're both filipino i'm half filipino she's full filipino so we really connected over our our shared heritage and have been wanting to make a piece sort of investigating our our filipino background for a few years and i guess i I don't remember how we started this piece, but I know that the very first time we performed it was at a festival in Durham called Common Roots.

It was in the middle of a baseball field and we're like, let's make a piece and, and, and do it here and as you'll see you know we see in the video it incorporates this sort of traditional filipino dancer using wine glasses and doing all this kind of really intricate and difficult work and props are always super fun and difficult to work with and then contemporary dance which you know we're that's who we are at our core and so yeah we had a lot of fun making it together and she was teaching me about sort of these more traditional movement forms and there was a very easy back and forth between us of you know what should we do next and a lot of playing around where jerry is is very playful and and very fun and and very smart so it was it was really easy to make make the work and we sort of have a short version and a long version i think Well, we did in Outer Banks.
