When the chemo that was working, where he was almost off dialysis, everything was working, his kidneys were functioning again, every-- even the endocrinologist looked at us and said, "I did not think he would come off dialysis, but I have no doubt that this guy is gonna be off it here in the next couple weeks." And then, sure enough, the Medicare decided that the chemo that he was on was not gonna be available for his, through his insurance anymore, and that it was gonna be on a different tier, and that if we wanted it, we'd have to pay thousands of dollars for it.

Ashley YardleyGUEST
I searched for it, um, found it in a pharmacy that was willing to sell it to us for ten thousand dollars, and we were able to buy one month's worth, but that was unrealistic financially for everybody.

Ashley YardleyGUEST
And as soon as they switched him to the other chemo, it, it went downhill, and he lived a couple years, but he was very, very weak.

Ashley YardleyGUEST
He died of unable to even walk, so unable to even breathe 'cause the chemo weakened him so much.

Kyle GrayHOST
Um, tell me about a time where [clears throat] you feel you were able to help somebody through this, this business, that maybe somebody just like your father-in-law, you were able to offer, um, a much better solution, and you could see the impact, and maybe even if you noticed somebody else, a franchisee, was empowered along the way.
