Why did you decide to use focus groups to explore the topic and not, let's say, other methods such as interviews or open-ended questions in surveys? And can you give us, or can you give our listeners a better idea of how the study was conducted?

Rather than being kind of so interested in what individual students thought about gen AI, so that's one aspect of it.

We're also interested in how students actually make sense of it together.

This is a, a rapidly changing technology, so it, it is about how they do that together as well.

So gen AI is a topic where students may have different experiences and opinions, so doing focus groups then allows there to be a, an opportunity for participants to then build on each other's, um, ideas, raise issues that other people might not have considered, and then actually think it through in a co- uh, all the complexities of using AI in education in a more interactive way.
