I think don't just go oh right they're toxic I'm going to drop them like a hot potato that's not kind of the first step we live in a culture that is like if someone is not being the perfect friend to you if someone is not like meeting all your needs and serving you in every way that you want then they're toxic and you should get rid of them like that's not the way of Jesus that's not how friendship works that's not how life works how relationships work like there should be give and take and there should be things that Like, one person is not going to meet all of your needs and, like, be the perfect friend to you all of the time.

But, yeah, there are times, and I've had many friendships like this, where it feels like I'm always the one texting or I'm always the one, kind of, doing the emotional work.
20:08
Like, I'll show up and I'll listen to you and I'll ask you how you are and I'll care about what's going on in your life and you never ask me a question.
20:14
And, like, don't seem to care what's going on with me and you just use me as your emotional sounding board.
20:19
Or whatever it may be.
