3:53
So how did you decide to find yourself, you know, CPG founders, like truly embedded in the founder space?
4:02
We drugged ourselves.
4:04
Um [chuckles] so as Kim mentioned, um, a few minutes ago, Kim and I met at college where we became best friends and eventually roommates, and it just so happened that it was the first year that Stanford couldn't house us when we came back from studying abroad.
4:21
So they put, uh, returning juniors in a condo near, near the campus, and so we had a kitchen.
4:29
And it was there that I got to share my love of baking with Kim, and we were really able to, I think, um, understand and learn so much more about each other in a, in an environment like that than if we had been at a traditional dorm.
4:45
So fast-forward, we graduate, we both work at different companies, and we end up coming together at Kann, where she was head of brand and content, and I was head of marketing and communications.
4:58
And we really lived in the trenches.

16 MINS LATER

20:40
Ashley, what about you? What did you take away from that?
13:32
So coming off that, what made you want to take that legend and then also bring it into this new functional world?
13:39
Yeah.
13:40
For me, the greatest gift growing up was seeing how a cookie could be so much more than a cookie.
13:47
And I think specifically a delicious cookie.
13:50
So in my household, cookies were so much more than dessert.
13:54
They were a celebration.
13:55
They were a way to connect with others.

13 MINS LATER

26:54
But overall, how do you decide which of these cookies is going to be the right flavor, texture, feel for that particular function that somebody is looking for?
16:48
But give me a sense of what you're hearing and what you're sensing from Democrats about their leader, Hakeem Jeffries.
16:56
Our reporting is showing us a variety of different things.
16:59
It's definitely a difficult position to be in as the party leader.
17:03
It's something that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is also experiencing in the upper chamber.
17:07
But as we saw, Schumer has maintained that position for quite some time, years.
17:12
And so when you mentioned the Israel vote, I will say that Hakeem Jeffries was not alone in how he voted.
17:18
It was split the vote.
19:02
Ashley, the last two minutes belong to you.
8:04
[laughs]
8:04
Um, and I saved that money, and I took the cash, and I went shopping.
8:12
And I want everybody who's listening to think right now, what was the first thing you bought with your own hard-earned money? Well, for me, that was a literally tour down the aisle of a grocery store, and I put butter in my cart, real vanilla, real chocolate, just the best ingredients.
8:32
And I went home, and I whipped up a batch of cookies.
8:36
And then I took them out of the oven.
8:38
I let them cool slightly so that it could actually, I could wait long enough so it wouldn't burn my mouth.
8:45
And my first bite transformed, changed my life because I said, "Oh, my gosh, butter is better." And it was like nirvana.
10:30
And I read that, [laughs] that the reason you made big cookies was so you could say to your mom, "Oh, I just had one cookie."
