We are a spiritual lifeline for our over 2,000 members in prison who are also connected to individual Unitarian Universalists through our letter writing ministry.

And keep us in balance help us to restore balance in our lives balance between the joys and the sorrows the laughter and the pain these things exist in this world but we know that some of these sorrows are only here because of human made evil and may we live our lives in such a way that the beauty of our vibration breaks the power of evil and empire amen ashe as above so below as within so without amen

When I was five years old, the United States celebrated its bicentennial.

I don't remember much except the photos that included the original flag with the stars in a circle representing the 13 colonies.

The flag was included in the background of my school pictures that year.

So every few years I come across these photos of when I was five and then I remember, oh yeah, the flag was behind me because it was the bicentennial.
