How are India's large power producers thinking about stranded acid risk on their coal fleets? And is anyone actually building that into financial planning?
25:18
So, yeah, you're right.
25:20
Power transitional story is central to everything because the supply, because one of the lowest hanging through both steel and cement of Tokenbord is changing from fossil based electricity to green electricity.
25:32
And the good news there is, of course, the cost of green electricity has come down.
25:36
Solar has been the dominant, but here Tokenbord now around the clock renewable energy, which includes a lot of storage, battery, pump hydro energy.
25:46
Maybe small hydro, small nuclear reactors.
25:49
We don't know.

Looking ahead five or 10 years, which sector do you think will surprise people the most in terms of how far it has moved on decarbonization? And conversely, where are you most worried that the gap between ambition and reality will be impossible to close or very difficult to close?
0:52
Uh, do you want to just give us a bit of intro about, um, you know, your details, you know, the best way to get contacts to you, um, and, you know, also talk a little bit about, you know, where you started?
1:05
Uh, yes, sure.
1:07
So I basically started my career in IT back in 2011, and I basically graduated from college, and I was like, testing was like second citizen for me that days, and I thought that I will be developer.
1:20
So I got trained in development, and then somehow my manager asked, "You know what, at the moment, we've got some projects, nice projects in QA.
1:27
Do you want to join QA?" So initially I said, "No, I, I don't like, you know, testing space.
1:31
I want to be a developer." But then somehow she convinced me that she's like, "Okay, this is not a traditional QA.
1:36
You'll be like a white box tester," back in 2011.

29 MINS LATER

30:55
You know, where do you find that you get the best resources when you go online?
24:52
Mm-hmm.
24:53
So constantly talking about where one stood.
24:55
You know, when I was in my US government job, every Sunday night I would write a letter to all the 1,700 people in the organization talking about what happened the previous week.
25:06
So it shared things that had came across my desk, everything important.
25:10
And then there'd be lots of information I would get that I thought everybody can see, so I would make that available to everybody.
25:17
So that was sharing a lot of information.
25:20
We also shared key metrics every week of where things stood to the whole organization, so they could see where they stood and where other teams stood, which also creates a certain sense of competition in a healthy way.
28:26
Is it it was more about the creating the US-India corridor, technology corridor? So that was the driver, or the driver was your own interest about, you know, deep tech, I mean, technology at that level?
11:04
Arun, the standard response to an AI skills gap is to upskill, but we're also seeing companies saying that they're gonna implement AI and lay off their workforce by the hundreds and thou- or thousands, right? Is upskilling really a solution?
11:22
Oh, that's in fact actually very good question.
11:24
Uh, if you follow the latest news, what's happening across the globe, right? There's a lot of mass layoff which is happening across different companies.
11:32
See, one thing which is, uh, very clear here is, uh, the cost of adopting and using AI, uh, is actually a, a big increase in terms of, uh, the expenses which is occurring to any organization, right? Because it adds up your infrastructure.
11:50
There is also inflation, and the hardware cost is also going up.
11:54
At the end of the day, businesses also have to look at, uh, how they'll be able to be profitable, build a very resilience model so that they can continue to grow the business and scale over a period of time.So there is definitely an impact.
12:07
But upskilling is a topic, it depends upon the organization, right? So if you look at upskilling is the way to go, but what someone needs to do here is not just give some playbook or material, uh, to the employees and say, "Hey, look, you go and do this course, or you take this certification and be AI-ready." That is not how upskilling works today, right? The role of AI here today is to ensure how you will be able to drive a lot of automation so that your repetitive task is taken care of.
14:33
Mm.
