What are the top ways to optimize your thyroid? What would you say?
12:16
Um, well, it depends, but I would say the first thing is to pay attention to your gut health because T4, which is the thyroid...
12:27
It's k- more of like a pro hormone that our thyroid actually, um, secretes, and that T4 has to convert into T3.
12:35
T3 is the only metabolically active form of thyroid.
12:39
And so there are a lot of things that affect that conversion from T4 to T3, including stress, um, certain toxins, autoimmune conditions, issues with the gut.
12:52
And so when we can correct that pathway from that conversion, um, we can see some success there.
13:00
There are supplements that are very, um, specific, uh, to the thyroid that can be helpful, iodine, vitamin D in particular, uh, vitamin A, and I'm having a brain freeze on some of the other ones.

40 MINS LATER

And similarly with the work that we do at, in the Holistic GLP-1 Method, we, we reframe even a weight-loss journey after 40 as a, as a body, mind, and soul transformation, as a way of really looking at it as like what are you really letting go of? What are you stepping into? So I'm curious what you think about, uh, is weight loss a, a body, mind, and soul transformation? Is, is menopause an opportunity to step more deeply into that? What are your thoughts?
