Can people who aren't on Medicare yet call?

Absolutely.

The window actually opens three months before you turn 65.

So you actually need to take action before you turn 65 to make sure that you have coverage at 65.

The only exception is if you're on social security, but then you know that It's still complicated from there because there's 24,000 plans to choose from.

So I would recommend that anyone who's approaching 65, give us a call.

What inspired you to create the Gym Wrap? And how did your personal fitness journey influence the design and the mission of your brand?

I was just talking about this and it really came out of a moment of being tired of saying the same thing.

Like I can't go work out with him or take a walk or run with him because I just got my hair done.

I have these two little kids and all my energy went to them and just trying to do my hair.

So I was just opting out of my own health.

Because of my hair.

And one day, it literally was just an idea.

And lo and behold, that comes to finding a specialist, and they realize that they're trapped in a system where they can't go to the specialist that I think they should go to or somebody else smarter than me thinks they should go to because they signed up for a system that pigeonholes them into, "No, this is the only way you're going to be served." How do you guys help people figure that out?

You raised a number of important points.

I want to unpack them.

The first thing is that original Medicare, that is Part A, which covers your hospital insurance, and Part B, outpatient coverage, only covers 80% of your medical expenses.

So you need coverage for the other 20%.

So what do people do to cover the other 20%? Well, they only have two options.

The one that's advertised on television, which is Medicare Advantage, and Medicare Advantage, as you mentioned, has a lot of trade-offs because it's a replacement for original Medicare administered by a private insurance company and subject to that private insurance company's terms and conditions, including network restrictions.

Is that correct?

And, and, uh, later we'll, we have proof of that.

We touched on it a little bit, but, and, and Nicole, maybe you can talk about this a little bit, comedy timing is so important to the way these cartoons work.

Uh, yeah, it's true.

And especially also, well, just that right there, the way that he's standing is funny, when Jer- Jerry gets all militant.

Um, but um, just situations like this, like let's put them, uh, on the night before Christmas.

It

definitely will.

And you have to have your self-esteem and your self-courage and your certainty intact.

But it's extremely important to understand the business.

And what I did is that I was surrounded myself with people who did.

And sometimes in the bad situation that I told you about, I just...

If they would say, well, your SKUs are this and that, you know, the return and this quarter and that quarter.

Yeah, so I was just blown away that I had this idea.

About... what preventable really means and what do you think you're trying to do and what do you think you're trying to preserve? And putting all of those things in the right order.

I made it 12 years ago in my kitchen.

I just needed to make a sweatband that worked.

And to anyone out there, entrepreneurs, I just had an idea.

I took the first step and I didn't have a business degree.

What is that balance like at home when you're with somebody who is equally as, you know, yoked as you are, but also equally as ambitious?

Did you always know this is what you wanted to do? Like, this was your path?

Oh, yeah.

Yeah, I... graduated from high school at 17 I got into NYU early I knew I wanted to be in New York but you know I come from a working class family and I knew I wanted to be an actor but I decided to go into the school of journalism you know I was I was gonna make you know become something that I could quote unquote fall back on.

But by the time second semester hit, I was like, I have to fully commit.

So I called home and my dad was like, look, if you're gonna do this, you gotta promise me you're gonna, you know, go all the way in.

What does fully committing look like? Like what did it look like back then when you were? Fully committing meant, you know, the Tisch School of the Arts is a real program.

So it's like going to that, yeah.

So tell me about gym wraps.

But what do you do with people like me that move around the country? And I mean, two or three times a year I move around the country.

Well, Hugh, there's two types of additional coverage, and this might surprise people because they assume, well, if I just have Part A and Part B, that is original Medicare, then I have comprehensive health insurance.

Not so.

Not so.

You still have a 20% gap under original Medicare, and there's no out-of-pocket maximum on that 20%.

20% of a very large hospital bill is thousands of dollars, and some seniors unfortunately declare medical bankruptcy as a result.

So we need to make sure that you're on the right plan for your health care needs.
