How did that happen?
15:51
I was actually a psych major in college, and I always loved the game.
15:54
I've just respected it so much.
15:56
And I really wasn't great.
15:59
[laughs] I've always been quite shy, and I'm not much of, like, a partier and quite a more of an introvert, so I like these quiet settings.
16:07
It's taught me to be confident and take risks, learn to say no, and to bet on myself.
16:13
I'm often underestimated.

Do, do you personally have a way of tracking the numbers of, uh, of how popular, um, this, this is?
22:10
[laughs] I mean, no way.
22:12
It, it's so impossible.
22:14
I mean, we went from Critic's Choice, Golden Globes, Grammys, and now we're headed to the Oscars.
22:19
I feel like there's all these incredible opportunities.
22:22
It's sort of like a whirlwind that keeps going, and you're like, "Are we slowing down, or are we never slowing down?" [laughs]
24:06
How did that happen?
24:09
I was actually a psych major in college and I always loved the game.
5:17
What attracted you to that character?
5:20
You know, initially, I just was so excited by the entire concept of the movie, right? You hear or you read K-pop demon hunters.
5:29
And how could I not be excited? I've grown up loving K-pop.
5:35
Demon hunting is... you know, a bit supernatural and fun.
5:39
And I feel like I've always loved that type of world.
5:43
And knowing it was an animation, knowing that it was set in Korea, and then getting into the story of three female leads who are all strong, funny, fierce, beautiful, but also vulnerable and real and flawed.
5:59
I feel like there was a part of me that was, if I could just even touch a project like this, just to say that I got to be in the first Hollywood animated film with Korea as a backdrop, with Korean leads.

Being Asian American, living in the United States whilst that's going on around you, how does that make you feel?
6:05
Oh,
6:06
man.
6:06
Yeah, it is so cutthroat.
6:09
That industry is really tough.
6:11
But I think that's why K-pop is so loved and respected nationally.
6:16
These artists are so talented.
6:17
It's like next level.
