With the coaching appointment, we're not going to get too serious on you, but has the club or the football manager come in and spoken to you guys just to keep you across what the process will look like and how long they think it might take and that type of stuff? Or are you just sort of kept in the dark with all that type of stuff?

um well obviously we we see it all and um you know we're all on social media and all that stuff especially because we are in the spotlight um does get released um but to be honest i don't think the club really needs to come and speak to us about it i think we have people in place to to do that and appoint the next senior coach um and sort of our voices i don't think matter too much um So, yeah, we haven't really been spoken to, but we do see, you know, what they're looking for and the process.

And, yeah, to be honest, us players just looking forward to seeing who's appointed.

Yeah, well, the reviews are honest.

Yeah, well, the reviews are honest.

What a moment for you and the club.

Yeah, first of all, thanks for having me.

But, yeah, unbelievable feeling.

You know, that feeling's really contagious and something we want to continue to feel.

I'm so proud of the group and bouncing back and just responding and keeping to front up.

It's so easy when times like that just to keep folding back and playing defensive.

But we attacked the competition, we attacked Melbourne and it paid off.

What's the mood like? What's the feeling?

What have you tweaked over the summer to try and get an advantage?

Yeah, well, I think the ball movement is one, moving it quick and moving it into our forward line and bringing it to our forwards.

You know, we've got some stars in there, Nate Caddy.

He's been sitting on a few heads at training.

Then at the feet, we've got Kako and Huss and a few others.

So, yeah, Essendon fans should be very excited and looking forward to the year because it will look a lot different.

But, yeah, once again, we're just trying to focus on our training and the practice games coming up and seeing how it goes against them.

Yeah, Bomberthon's something we do every year.

Um, we get on the phones and, um, call some members, uh, who we value very much and just thank them for being members and their service over the past period of time.

Um, sometimes they're 25-year members, sometimes only five-year members, but we still value them just as much.

Um, and we call them and thank them.

Um, and during the week we got to FaceTime a few, um, and just say thank you, which was special to them.

And I actually called a member and, um, the deal was if he got a FaceTime from one of the players, he'd sign himself and his kids up.
