all right sure yeah well it's just great to be here uh and uh again you know just want to say how much i enjoy the content you're putting out my you know i think it's for me it's it's helped restore some of the mystery curiosity and enthusiasm about biology that i haven't had since i was an undergrad you know studying entomology at university of wisconsin so thank you for that I think today we wanted to talk a little bit about the frames within, I guess, modern psychiatry and psychology and to some degree how they may be holding us back from further progress in those fields.

Anthony WeissGUEST
And I'll just say a couple of words about myself, you know, again, avoiding long introductions.

Anthony WeissGUEST
But I think that it's a little bit relevant for the conversation because I've been a psychiatrist now.

Anthony WeissGUEST
I'm a psychiatrist, neuropsychiatrist, behavioral neurologist at Harvard on faculty there and at work at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Anthony WeissGUEST
And so I entered the field in the heart of what was then called the decade of the brain.

But there it is, right? Right in the first, you know, in the grammar that we have.
