So have you seen such issues, Anthony? And is it still there? Yes.

Anthony HigmanGUEST
And that's how, so that's how we kind of figured it out as like, whenever I get access to something that I'm putting money behind, what I do is go there and do a lot of searches.

Anthony HigmanGUEST
It's funny how I use all these platforms because what I was using it for mainly in the beginning was all the searches I would do were PPC for lawyers, best PPC agency for lawyers because I was running ads and I wanted to see my ads.

And are you also using any outside platforms or let's say external platforms or tools for managing your maybe context or content or any sort of media buying automation platforms of sorts, Anthony?

We've got the DOJ ruling, we've got tons of stuff, but there is something that I think really could impact local businesses that you spotted that appears to be sort of an AI switching of phone numbers, right? So can you just talk about that? What is happening and why?

Anthony HigmanGUEST
Why? Because Google's turned their main search product into a chatbot that hallucinates often.

Anthony HigmanGUEST
I continue to grow more and more frustrated with the AI nonsense, and it's the sole direction.

Anthony HigmanGUEST
But clients' results sometimes will just fall off a cliff, and they'll raise a hand, and I'll go do my thing and look around.

So what's changing is, again, it's moving to PMAX, this thing that they created just for paper legals.

Anthony HigmanGUEST
Another thing that is, I guess, a fear that's changing, they're getting rid of manual bidding option and target CPA.

Anthony HigmanGUEST
A good change, and I think this is based on all of their interactions with customers, is you can now change your phone number and, like, routing options directly in Google Ads.

Anthony HigmanGUEST
Good change, because we always had to do that, and you weren't able to do it without, like, contacting LSA support, basically.

Greg FinnHOST
But what would you tell people knowing this change is coming up? What is something you want to do well? Do you want to make sure it transitions? How are you preparing for this?

And just so that everyone watching, he did continue to use title caps, but I wouldn't say in person, now that I've met him, he talks in title caps.

We would do a little bit of it and then like we would b- then like eventually it just got to be like too much and I was like, "Hey, w- we're not really doing SEO.

Anthony HigmanGUEST
We're, we're, we really have to focus on like, on PPC and, you know, we're like not getting paid to do SEO." But he like wouldn't let it go.

And then it would just be the next person came in and did a couple bid adjustments and wrote some fluffy reports, and it was just kinda like business as usual.
