How you disciple your congregation in generosity, because this is obviously something that we're fascinated to have the answer to here at Stewardship, looking at the generosity gap that we see here in the UK.

I quite often over the years will talk to our people about my own sort of journey of generosity and recognizing that before I was a Christian, I wasn't a generous person, but I thought I was.

And most people do.

If you were to stop anybody in the street and say, are you generous or stingy? Nobody's going to say, oh, yeah, I'm a stingy person.

Everybody thinks they're generous.

And, you know, regardless of what they give or don't give to, and lots of people will have this charity begins at home mentality, which means it doesn't usually make it very far out the front door.

So when I was not a Christian, I was a police officer and I would think I was generous because I bought a round in the pub and I would, if there was a football card in the pub, if it had Ipswich and Manchester United on there, I would pay my money and it was to some charity or another.

So I wonder, have you got maybe just one or two particularly poignant stories that you could share that would be an encouragement to our listeners?
