And talk a little bit about that area, if you will.

Absolutely.

Before I decided to run for sheriff, one of the things that I heard a lot of from people is that they don't see the sheriff's office and they some didn't even understand how the sheriff's office work for them or how they could even utilize the sheriff's office.

Now, obviously, if you live in unincorporated Sheppard County, you know how to engage us.

We engage probably in your neighborhood watch or community meetings.

But for people who may live in some of the far corners of the city and maybe even sometimes the center of the city, they may not understand how this agency fits into their overall safety program or plan.

And so I have been very, very I mean, literally from day one, I have really been building my community relation division to make sure that we were really expanding ourselves to every corner that we possibly could.

But you are thinking ahead, aren't you, in terms of how to, you know, retrofit the jail and maybe some additions or some other things that are needed right about now?

And it becomes a challenge when you start going over that 80% capacity.

Got it.

But but I began to push heavily to try to move these residents out and into the state facility.

And we have seen some just incredible numbers leave our facility and go into the state penitentiary or the state prison.

And so in addition to that, I was able to reach out to the COO for the state and talk specifically about those who are in our facility for violation of parole.
