now if they if they let's say the jets play a great game they get to two and oh um at that point where do you think your expectations would lie for this football team this season

Yeah, I think, you know, I would kind of as a fan's perspective, right? You don't like, you know, they're 2-0.

What is it going to be week to week? Like, I just truly believe, guys, that they're not far away from whatever echelon in the league we're pegging as the good team.

But they got to do it consistently.

They got to execute.

You can't get, you know, you can't have somebody drop 40 on you week six randomly.

Like, what's going on? Like, those are the things that maybe are edging the memories of, of fans over the years or something happens.

If you had the kind of camp that they have today, how long would it take you to be physically ready for the regular season?

Yeah.

And I, you know, there are a lot of things I learned from coaches as a player that I loved, and there were a lot that I didn't, right? So I wanted to do it my...

And that's probably what's been even better, you know, I didn't have someone to guide, I didn't have Nick Saban to learn from how to do this.

Like, I had to figure this out myself, and I love that.

You know, I, I would...

I'm gonna have mentors, I'm meeting the network and I'm getting to know coaches, but I'm not in the building with them, you know? So now I get to kind of be a bar setter for my staff maybe, I don't know, and just say, "Hey, well, man, like, Coach Beck does it the right way." Like, you know? So, um, yeah, there's a ton of parallels, man.

Like, I do think it's vitally important to, to sit in front of a room of 50 men and, and get to know them all and understand what, what makes them tick.

And now, like you see what the Eagles are doing with Mannion, the whole transition to that offense is coming here.

you just mentioned 13 personnel that that's become a little bit of a, you know, everybody looks at the Rams, right? Okay.

What are the Rams doing? And then let's try to trickle down some of that.

Well, they're using a lot of 13 personnel.

We, we utilize a lot of 13 personnel.

You know, my roster size was hard to keep three tight ends.

We have three really good ones and we were able to maximize that.

Have you seen guys who have a tendency not to be great blockers actually get the attitude adjustment and become great blockers?

This season or wa- uh, seeing the Orlando Storm play.

Uh, you know, listen, man, like, this is all new.

Like, this team is built from scratch.

Like, uh, this was a unique challenge that I was offered by Mike Rapole.

Uh, you know, he wanted to change my location as a head coach, and we did some great things in St. Louis.

And it hurt at first, but he told me, you know, they're gonna blow the rosters up and, and, uh, you know, really, you know, give, give me a chance to do something a- at a, at a new place.
