So how does a Pilates instructor change that mindset for an athlete to try it out?
6:50
Yeah, I mean, every athlete's different.
6:52
They all have different needs, different desires, um, different issues with their bodies.
6:55
I think, you know, the biggest thing for me working with you the last, uh, however many years is I had a lot of soft tissue injuries, um, throughout my whole career.
7:04
Like every year was a hamstring or a adductor.
7:07
And then, you know, when I was 20- in 2020, I was now seven, eight years into the league, kind of on the, you know, the back end of my career.
7:14
But it was like how can I, like, stretch this window out as long as possible to play, um, for, for as long as I can? And it was, "Let me, let me try Pilates," was a suggestion from Eric.
7:57
Yeah.
37:06
How, how did both those schools shape the player and person you've become?
37:11
For sure.
37:12
I mean, starting at Loyola, you know, their, their mantra's m- a man for others, you know? So, you're built...
37:16
It's an all-boys Jesuit, uh, Catholic school.
37:18
You know, so you're into going there, um, every day just with your boys, really, it seems like, and it, it allowed me to, um, meet a lot of diverse individuals, a lot of different type of people.
37:28
Um, so I became a, what's it? Tolerant about it.
37:30
I loved everybody, you know, and I think that really shaped me and molded me in the community service, the giving back aspect that they, um, that they preach.
40:09
Got it.
