And, and it was kind of a, I think the thing that a lot of people experience in that time is like y- you start this career.

Anne PhilippiGUEST
In the beginning, I had just had so many one-on-ones for GQ, and it was really, you were traveling, you had two or three really big Hollywood stars a week that you talked to.

Anne PhilippiGUEST
I'm kind of very good at getting to the point very fast, even though they had a publicist in the room.

Anne PhilippiGUEST
So, and I think after two years, I realized I have not these-- I don't have these questions for me.

Yeah, like you said, I mean, it was banned from universities after Nixon, I think in '73, kind of made it impossible to, to research also.

Anne PhilippiGUEST
It's not only that it was suddenly illegal for students or whoever wanted to experience LSD, um, it was also us universities worldwide who already had done some research, and there was quite some information.

Anne PhilippiGUEST
So today we would technically be 40 years ahead of things if it, that wouldn't have happened.

Anne PhilippiGUEST
So-- And-- But it was really just happening in, in very small kind of, you could say, illegal contexts and, but not like legit research in a sense, like you have a clinical study in Harvard or like UC Berkeley like today.

Anne PhilippiGUEST
And, um, I think, um, in-Early two, not, 2000 something, 10, like Amanda Feilding in the UK, wh- uh, she was basically opening the Beckley Foundation, who is now part of a very big biotech, um, a tie Beckley company.

Anne PhilippiGUEST
So she was starting to put, like, very little research elements together, but, but nobody, you could say nobody really took that serious.

Like, how do we actually, if we m- might want to explore this, how might we go about doing that these days?
