Another young life lost to this damn fentanyl.

I mean, it's just tragic.

She's such a beautiful girl.

You know, it's just save the cheerleaders, save the world.

I know so many of us were fan of hers in Heroes.

And, you know, she gave she brought a lot of us joy watching her.

She did something so amazingly beautiful with that heart of hers trying to save the dolphins in Japan from the dolphin slaughter.

And then it was just pouring in for four years through the border.

And did he go to a party? Was hanging out with friends? What happened with this pill that he took?

So he was with some friends and, yeah, they were in a social situation.

And, you know, I don't have the whole story because it's not really anybody that I really knew well.

I've kind of had to piece back a lot of it.

It was, you know, in a social situation where he tried something that someone gave to him.

And I'm told he took a quarter of it.

And he just got the side with a chocolate chip cookie effect that we hear about with fentanyl.

So what have you learned about peer pressure and what do you want to see happen?

What, what is it now, uh, uh, as you've had a bit of time, a time since this happened to Weston, what is it that you want parents to understand about fentanyl that they maybe don't understand today?

Well, there, there's so many.

Um, so, so I'm just gonna start with what I tell people is that, you know, fentanyl, my son didn't know he was taking fentanyl.

He was, thought he was taking a Percocet, um, something that his doctor had discussed with him in the past.

Percocets, you know, people take them all the time for, you know, I've taken them for C-sections, and other people take them for sports injuries or even sometimes when you get your wisdom teeth pulled.

So he had heard of that before.

I think a couple weeks earlier, he hurt his hand, and he thought, you know, h- the doctor had offered it.

I want them to know that these aren't bad kids, that rather it's a poisoning, and that everyone in their community, regardless of ZIP code, regardless of wealth or demographic, is affected by this tyranny.

Tell us how it gets into a, America and how it ends up, uh, ends up poisoning our children?

So it starts in China where these factories, um, make illicit fentanyl, the precursor chemicals.

It's then shipped to Mexico to the cartels where who knows who is de, you know, not a chemist that works for, you know, Merck or Pfizer.

That's, it's somebody who probably, you know, has no idea what they're doing, sprinkles it into a bunch of blue p- press powder and they press it with the exact markings of pharmaceutical pills.

Um, from there it comes over our open borders and, you know, I think you mentioned under Joe Biden they were seizing about 2,000 pounds a month and, um, that's not nearly what comes over here.

That's the tip of the iceberg, um, the very tip.

So, you know, it comes over through that.
