Creating that stock plan, what are the other things that you would say that you feel that you need to consider?
8:21
Uh, I've mentioned that, that you're reviewing your data on a regular basis.
8:25
Um, the other thing that I would really encourage, or I do encourage brands to do, is not to spend all their budget upfront.
8:33
If you're a seasonal brand, for example, you know, let's take, just cut the year in half and just say 50/50, so a season is 26 weeks.
8:41
Going back to that example, if your lead time from your supplier is 10 weeks, you only need to really be securing enough stock or committing to enough stock up until that point.
8:52
And then you have, you know, key dates in your diary to then trigger to remind yourself, "Right, oh look, at that point I've still got enough time to reorder or repeat or place those new orders upfront, um, new orders for new product," um, that you're holding something back and not committing to 100% of your season's budget.
9:11
Equally, from a branded perspective, going back to the other example that you said, um, that's still applicable even though you're not, um, in, you know, you're not producing the stock yourself.
