But but you jump into their into their their I don't want to call it misery, but yes, it is.
3:49
Well, I'm always interested in sitting down and talking to people about the hard stuff.
3:56
Well, I think a lot of people like doing that.
3:58
I think it's definitely a specific skill set I have that I'm able to kind of sit in the horrible.
4:05
but also while we were there i mean these women are amazing it's not kind of just been misery i've actually had such a hoot making this series which isn't always the case on the shows that i make sometimes they do feel kind of just majority dark and this one didn't you know that the women are so feisty and funny and vivacious and full of life and their own ambitions and they've managed to achieve so much despite what derek did to them that they were just a pleasure to meet.
4:36
And they just happened to have this incredible story, which like, I like to hear exciting stories or dramatic stories about my friends' lives and anyone else's lives.
4:48
So I was just kind of sat there.
6:02
were you part of the editing process because because you got so close and so personal with everybody that's featured on trust me babe that it's almost one of those things where i'm going i mean how did you even edit it how did you know how to put this story together because you're gonna have to play favoritism or did you
5:11
I felt that every one of the people that you feature on this podcast, The Girlfriends, Trust Me, Babe, they had a relationship with you in that they trusted you.
5:23
I...
5:23
Well, I hope that's the case, um, 'cause it's a lot, a lot for them to, um, give up.
5:29
You know, it's a deeply personal story.
5:31
Um, not everyone was interviewed by me.
5:34
They were also interviewed by our producer, Leona, and she is just the warmest, loveliest, most open person ever.
5:42
And so I think between the two of us, yeah, I hope that they felt safe.

7 MINS LATER

12:49
Just be more aware.
6:23
It, it's just amazing.
6:24
Thank you.
6:25
You know, we built something together, and I will neverForget that, that that was such a partnership between the two of us, as well as Mindy and Elaine and everyone else who got on board for seasons one and two.
6:37
And as much as it's a strange transition to see that changing, it feels like the best way of honoring what we did together is to keep doing it, to keep our mission alive, which we agreed on at the beginning, which was to tell these amazing stories of how women are just more powerful together and can do amazing things.
6:58
And, you know, in so many situations where you interpret women as potentially losing in these true crime stories, we're telling the other side where they win.
10:58
It just sounds like a beautiful group, a great collection of women and their stories.
11:04
Yeah, it is.
11:05
I mean, it's been really inspiring and humbling and eye-opening hearing all of these women's voices coming together.
