It just became such a better way of, like, experiencing the world than shuffling in and out of crowds all the time.
8:45
One of the things that's really wonderful about, like, touring is you're experiencing areas you wouldn't have gotten to otherwise.
8:52
You're moving at a human pace.
8:59
With some trains in there.
9:00
Yeah.
9:00
[laughs]
15:22
When I sat down with Anna Lee, we explored how technology is helping us better understand one of the most personal experiences we can have.
15:34
[instrumental music] We have force sensors.
15:37
There's two force sensors on the shaft of the Linus.
15:40
So it's an insertable rabbit-style vibrator.
15:43
So what we're measuring is how strong you're squeezing on both sides of the device, and then we basically average it out to make sure, one, that there's no noise that we're ca- we're capturing.
15:52
So if you're moving it around and all of that, we're gonna cancel that noise out 'cause what we're really focused on is those pelvic floor contractions.
15:59
I believe, if I'm remembering from the top of my head, the average force during an o- orgasm tends to be around 72 gram force.
16:20
[laughs]
2:40
How long have you been doing it and what's it been like to be PorchFest hosts? Anna, we'll start with you.
2:44
Yeah, I've done it since the beginning.
2:47
Irina kind of reached out to the community board about doing a PorchFest.
2:52
I showed up at her door and said, do you need help putting up Posters and we did and we went from there.
3:00
I think we had 50 bands that first year So I've done it.
3:04
I've always had my disco lemonade lounge.
3:06
That's my my porch name It's just lemonade with a bunch of edible confectionery glitter So, you know, that's always like a fun little thing.
4:46
So it was really formative just seeing bands together and walking around and really enjoying what Porch Fest has to offer.
JonathanHOST
7:30
I don't understand it.
7:32
Yeah, I guess because there are studies on that and they can kind of verify it or someone is held responsible and here you don't really get a grip on it.
7:41
I don't know.
7:43
I can also just say what I have observed and it was definitely healing because the people were free from the illness, right? And...
7:51
So that was kind of normal for me.
7:53
Another thing that was really normal for me was feeling the feelings of others or feeling when there was something wrong with people, you know, so they had something, there was something physical that would disturb them or they would be ill or injured and not just people that goes for animals just like for humans I would like feel it in my own body and I would try to investigate you know before the internet I'm old by the way but so before social media and everything I would just try to figure out if that's normal and I would try to ask people like do you feel this and that and how do you feel about when people you know and you see like a wound or something and people would never confirm what I felt.
8:33
I would basically say, yeah, it makes me feel uncomfortable.

What can you can you delve into a little bit of that?
JonathanHOST
6:01
I, I don't understand it.
6:02
it.Yeah, I guess because there are studies on that and they can kind of verify it or someone is held responsible, and here you don't really get a grip on it.
6:11
I don't know.
6:12
Like I, I'm...
6:13
I can also just say what I have observed, and it was definitely healing because the people were free from the illness, right? And, um, so that was kind of normal for me.
6:24
Another thing that was really normal for me was feeling the feelings of others or feeling when, when there was something wrong with people, you know.
6:32
So they had something...
