Super interesting because we have myostatin knockout mice.

We have myostatin knockout cattle.

In almost every species that we have selected for muscle growth, we have inadvertently selected for a loss of myostatin.

And so why is it so devastating in pigs? So I had a grad student who did the ill-fated graduate thesis lovingly called, Why You Dying? Because it's actually really hard to like, okay, yeah, but why did they die? They died because they did not live.

It's actually really hard to diagnose.

You know, so if you look back and if you could tell yourself, younger self, one thing, what would that one thing be? Like, I wish I had known this.
