you had a natural interest in that era then as a result?

Yeah, I think so.

I mean, they didn't really talk about that side of it when I was in school there, like in the late 80s and early 90s.

But I think I was just aware that there was kind of a gap there.

for those stories.

And there hadn't really been a, there'd been incredible academic work on the Irish suffrage movement at the time.

There hadn't really been sort of stuff for a mainstream audience.

And that writing of that though how different was that from writing for the page?
