Yeah.

And then went back to Allen's in Sydney, which was great to have.

And, you know, worked in Hong Kong, worked at Foxtel, worked at Meyer on secondment.

So had some really good exposure to different corporate contexts.

But position came up with the former Victorian Attorney General, Rob Hulls.

I don't know if people remember him, but he was, you know, I would say one of the most significant reformist attorneys general in Australia's history.

He was Attorney General for – I think almost 13 years in Victoria, introduced a human rights charter, introduced quarry courts, specialist drug courts and this idea of therapeutic justice and diverting people away from the criminal justice system and having the law being a positive and the justice system being a positive intervention in someone's life.

There was a part of the campaign where you had to do a constitutional challenge on the High Court, right? How was that or what was that about?

Just give us your view of what's going on up in Canberra.

Yeah, well, unfortunately, we are in a pretty awful political environment at the moment.

And, you know, just first of all, sort of my love and support out, you know, goes out there to all of our trans and gender diverse communities who are really feeling the heat of that right now.

And You know, there is support and joy, I think, is a really important support for all of our communities all the time.

But essentially what's happened in the wake of a court decision in the last couple of weeks is it's sparked off One Nation and Coalition, including the leader of the federal coalition, Angus Taylor, to make a series of policy announcements and in some cases to...

Two bills have been released in the federal parliament seeking to basically weaken discrimination laws in relation to trans people.

And unfortunately, what it also means, I mean, that's obviously a terrible thing in itself, but the proposals would actually wind back protections, not just for trans people, but that impact on women more broadly and LGBTIQ plus people more broadly, particularly intersex people.

What are the questions that are really, really important for our community that are now going to be asked in that census that previously weren't?

And so from there we were able to figure it out, and something in the survey was telling the Google Chrome browser this survey is in Spanish.

So what it was doing was it was trying to translate this survey that was completely in English into English.

Yeah, so indeed, um, it looks like they have now fixed this issue in Google Translate, but up until recently, if you went to Google Translate and you said, "I'm typing in Spanish," but you wrote yes in English and then told it you want it, wanted it to translate from Spanish to English, it would translate yes to forks.
