Here's what she sees among the young people in her life.
3:12
I do think that there is a block of that generation that probably resonates with that sentiment.
3:18
But I also find a great deal of hope in that generation with a voting block that is really empowered right now.
3:28
I think that a lot of the politicians running don't necessarily always come up with policies that are geared towards younger folks.
3:39
I was listening to a podcast on the way here that was pointing out how when Biden ran on student loan and interest, how that mobilized a lot of young voters because it was finally an issue that directly impacted them and but it also impacted 40 year olds and people that had student loan debt.
3:59
There's a lot of young politicians that are running right now.
4:02
And I think people like James Tallarico, Zoran Mamdani, AOC, There's a lot of like younger politicians that I feel like are there's some energy amongst the younger voters around them that I'm seeing that give me hope.

5 MINS LATER

9:46
What would you say to the Democratic Party?
1:32
Yeah
1:32
... it's a new, um...
1:34
I don't wanna say it's a new low because this country has done public executions before, and quite frankly, a lot of the killings in recent years have honestly been like public es- executions of people.
1:47
George Floyd, you know, we all watched that live on camera, someone being murdered.
1:53
But for a government authority to premeditate in advance that we're going to essentially desensitize people to state-sponsored violence, the person who committed this crime, of course, deserves punishment.
2:09
What he did is wrong and heinous.
2:12
Live-streaming a public execution, but saying that we can't have a late-night comedian tell a monologue of his First Amendment right to do so is horrifying.
4:31
So there you go.
6:44
... unless they're here illegally? So I'm trying to understand, if ICE is at a polling place and they want to get people that are here illegally, how is deterring the American person from voting?
7:01
Because they are arresting Americans, Sean, not just people who are here illegally or who have done something wrong.
7:07
They are rounding people up based on what they look like, and they are holding them.
7:12
And unless you have a connection that can help you get out, you're there for an indefinite amount of time, and before you may be able to prove your innocence, you could be sent to Liberia.
7:26
You could be sent to, I mean, a random country that you've never even heard of and have never been affiliated with, with no hope of return unless you have a connection.
7:36
And a lot of people are very afraid of that because to some ICE, a Mexican looks just like a Venezuelan, looks just like a Puerto Rican, looks just like a...
7:47
It's, it's literally allowed now to discriminate on skin color, and a lot of people don't want to be on the other end of that racism, discrimination, or wrongful arrest because they're getting paid for the number of bodies that they have in these detention centers.
11:08
Anna makes sure elections are up for discussion.
