Can you tell us first just about the scope and the purpose of this guide? Why did we decide to release this at this point?

It's two parts on your questions.

Why do we release it now and what's the aim of it? So maybe I can start with the aims and the targets.

As you said, we wanted to provide a common framework for the European countries to support them with preparing and responding to these zoonotic threats that Katrina just now described.

And that was our aim, to provide a very practical tool for the countries that they can use when they prepare for zoonotic threats.

There are currently European countries updating their pandemic preparedness plans and they can use this tool.

And it also provides a common language for European countries to describe the situation when there are cases in Europe and assess the situation.

Can you tell us a little bit more? Are there effective vaccines now against avian influenza?
