could BookedIn do for leaders that maybe leaders don't already have access to at the moment?
17:32
Yeah, really good question.
17:33
So at this current time, you can go and register on the BookedIn waiting list because we're currently operating a waiting list before we do the big launch in November.
17:44
But basically, BookedIn will make it so much easier for leaders to book CPD for their staff in terms of saving time on admin work.
17:54
So instead of you thinking, well, I need to find a speaker or a trainer on an aspect of leadership or outdoor play or even first aid, instead of Googling and looking for different websites, contacting different people by phone, by email, emailing back and forth or looking on LinkedIn and trying to find someone and thinking, well, Well, I don't know if they're very good, but their bio sounds good.
18:21
I mean, they've written that themselves.
18:23
Anyone can write anything about themselves.

21 MINS LATER

39:42
And I think we talked about this question at the very beginning of the before we came on air, but I'm really keen to from that point of view of the system in terms of booked in, what is it that you're trying to make easier or better for the sector by setting booked in up?
0:38
And I guess I would love to know, Angelica, because you've been on the podcast before, so people can hear your background a But today, do you want to share a little bit about your experience of leadership and teams and what helps them to thrive rather than burn out?
1:00
Yeah, definitely.
1:01
And I think I'll start off with a story about my own experience.
1:06
So this would be when I was out of settings, but still in a working environment, working with my co-founder, Claudio.
1:13
And I feel like this scenario needs to happen more in settings, in early year settings, in schools, etc., So it was coming up to my conference at the Voice of Eddie Childhood conference, which was, I think, the third one I had or the fourth one.
1:32
And so I had some experience of it already and I knew that I feel quite comfortable.
1:38
burn out afterwards and deflated because of all the excitement the day before and all the planning that comes like months before.

23 MINS LATER

24:28
I could have dealt with all of that, and then I would have been a better, stronger person, both for myself, my kids, but also for my team.
4:14
What would you say you have learned that you could do differently or could have done differently to prevent the burnout?
4:22
Hmm, that's a really big question, I think.
4:25
Because it's difficult looking back and thinking, what could I have done then? Because now I'm a different person and I have a different life.
4:34
But I guess the biggest thing is always what I hear and what I've heard from different practitioners that I've spoken to around somatics in particular, so how the body affects, how stress affects the body, is noticing.
4:51
noticing different sensations, feelings, different pain points within your body and within your mind as well.
5:00
So really taking that time, taking that breath to just slow down and notice and really tune into yourself and it's really hard to do that especially mentally so the a really good way of doing that is tuning into your body so tuning into the physical signs because they're much easier to spot than the mental signs so pausing and thinking Yeah, I feel really exhausted today, but I really feel that in my lower back and it's really bothering me.
5:33
And then kind of wondering about how your day went and it goes on from there.
10:06
It's OK to be that way, to feel that way, to think that way.
