Let's prepare our hearts for what we're about to hear.

Have you ever started praying only to have your mind immediately wander? Maybe it drifts to an old argument and you replay that perfect line that you wish you had said.

And then you catch yourself and you begin again.

Thank you, God, for this day.

Thank you for my family.

But before you actually get through all of your kids, all of a sudden you're reaching for your phone and you're adding milk, eggs to the grocery list.

Been there? Maybe I have.

I absolutely love food.

More so because I love that for me, food is social.

I really enjoy making a full meal because I know that means I'm about to sit down and I'm going to socialize with others.

It means laughter.

It means hearing about one another's day.

It means connection.

And yet, even though I know how much I love that connection, if I look at my week-to-week life right now, the sheer pace of modern culture, it catches up to me.
