So tell me for you and the industry that you've been jumped into, like, how did you learn to negotiate? How did that all come about?
5:38
Good question, because you're right.
5:39
It isn't something that we get taught in high school or when we are starting to go to university.
5:44
Typically, we're not.
5:45
No one's sitting us down and saying, OK, so for your first job offer, here's how you ask for money.
5:50
Here's how you counteroffer.
5:52
I wish they would.
10:00
So if I just pull on that thread a little bit more, when you talk about the data, what would you recommend that someone sort of go and look for as a starting point? You know, most of us will try to Google some salaries and thing and go, hang on, but there's more to it than that, especially when you kind of move up the ranks.
16:05
I was just really curious.
16:07
Yeah.
16:07
No, no, that's all right.
16:08
So after we go through leverage, then the next thing is helping them on actually just sending the email or having the conversation, giving them those exact words or those proven scripts, as I like to say, to just, you know, get it out and ask for that number.
16:27
It's not rocket science.
16:28
It really isn't.
16:30
But a lot of times people just need somebody in their corner to give them the confidence that what they're saying is right, and it's expected, and what the employer, you know, is used to hearing.

So if there's anyone listening that has that sort of penance, um, how do you help them, uh, with those sorts of, or with understanding what the full package is when it comes to equity models?
