What other endings did you have?

I have a few different endings that tie into this one.

And is she set up as a serial killer or did she do it? Because she was slowly losing her mind as she was trying to write her next book.

So I did do a few different things.

I actually had one where there was a podcast at the end.

I did one where there was a documentary because I wanted to explain.

I'm still kind of an over explainer when I write my books the first time because I'm like, they won't, maybe they didn't see the herring.

Maybe it's this person, yeah.

... of it, and how do you build them on the pa- on the page in the sense of, or do you have a picture of her, of Carla, and then here are her good things, here are her bad things, here, and then you kind of glance at that when you're writing her? How does it work?

Yeah.

I'm not overly visual.

I think it would help if I had something like that in my mind.

I, um, for her, I just thought of age, profession, like her stats basically, and what she would do and why, and for both of them it's desperation.

One of them has a deadline and a lot of pressure and a book to live up to, which I have not really been in that position ironically until now releasing a second book.

[laughs] I don't know if people will like the first better or the second, so it's kind of funny that it's happening this way.
