I was smiling then because I love the idea of having three words on a name badge that allows you to kick off a conversation with somebody rather than the usual walking up, oh, hello, what do you do? Which company are you from? It's boring as well, isn't it? If you can get talking and find common ground with somebody unrelated to your work or the reason that you're there at that event, you can actually then open up a more meaningful conversation when you do get around to talking about the business side of things.

The way that the networking guide is structured, it's a silver, gold and platinum level, depending on your appetite for work and the size of your event and all things like that.

Andy WilliamsonGUEST
So, so silver, you know, if you want to just do the basics, turn the background music off so that people can actually hear one another when they're networking.
