Good luck with the edit on this because it's quite a journey and I'm going to do my best to kind of, you know, focus around the key elements here.

Andy KongGUEST
But there's a lot of stuff in here and we've actually, we've already been referencing some of these documents already because there's like sworn testimony, like depositions from Miyamoto and he had to go into like Where did Donkey Kong come from? Like the development of the character.

Andy KongGUEST
So some of the stuff already talked about actually comes from these legal documents.

Andy KongGUEST
So it was kind of, he's retired or retiring from the scene, but as a parting gift, he put all these documents on archive.org.

But Andy, give some context to this photograph of you being arrested, because I think this is really important for people to understand.

Andy KongGUEST
Sure, and I want to be very clear, FIRM and all our members, while we are completely advocating nonviolent collective action.

Andy KongGUEST
But in the spirit of John Lewis and others that have come before us, we do believe civil disobedience, causing some good trouble, speaking truth to power is an important piece of how we get things changed and so well what you saw there in that photo that was at the end of the biden administration um and many of us in firm i was at serving as co-chair at the time for the and also the executive director of the pennsylvania immigration coalition we were urging president biden to do everything he could via executive action whether it's shutting down detention facilities whether it was creating uh relief for folks that were uh you know temporary relief for people that were in limbo Whatever he could do, we were asking him to do it because we were afraid that the next administration would take that same apparatus that, yes, Democrats contributed in building and turn it into something like we're seeing now, which is a nightmare scenario.

Andy KongGUEST
And unfortunately, you know, during that time, we weren't able to effectively convince the administration to do more.

Andy KongGUEST
And I think that is maybe one of the things without placing blame, but is a lesson learned for us as a nation that there's no time to do the right thing.
Katie FangHOST
I've had a conversation with our friend and colleague, Ezra Levin at Indivisible about it, but I want to know how FIRM is approaching it because I do think this is a really important component of May Day from FIRM's aspect.
