What is that story for you around this version and genre of expression in the world?
2:14
Yeah, I think it goes back to all kinds of pop culture and television in my childhood and thinking about just, you know, like watching Sesame Street or Mr. Rogers and feeling like I'm among friends and even when Obviously, I know that the puppets on Sesame Street weren't real, but there's real people interacting with them.
2:32
And so there is some reality occurring here.
2:36
Obviously, as a four or five-year-old, I wasn't thinking about scripting and acting and, you know, all the stuff that goes on in the background there, but...
2:45
So I think there's been like ultimately in my life fascination with what's real, what's not.
2:52
And also just, you know, loving television and pop culture in general.
2:57
So I watched game shows like Double Dare when I was a kid and that was in the late 80s, early 90s.

What's going on there in terms of that theatrics?
17:34
[laughs]
17:34
... has layers of this.
17:35
And that's, you know, and it's also, I mean, look at our world right now too.
17:39
Like, the idea that power corrupts isn't something we need to test in a reality TV show.
17:43
We are looking at it.
17:44
Uh, we have reality TV stars in charge of the US government and its various branches right now, and just using their power for their own greed and, [laughs] and, uh, other nefarious things.
17:57
You know, whether it's on a competition show like Big Brother where power sort of switches back and forth every week, and then suddenly someone who was on the bottom of the pile in the game is now in control.
22:25
Mm-hmm.
17:25
How do you get through that, though? I mean, besides the funny parts.
17:28
[sighs] Yeah, I mean, it's, it's a lot and like reading legalese is weird and especially...
17:34
And this, this lawsuit was particularly fun and like I have the, I always, whenever I do this I always just publish the full document plus add annotations so people can find stuff.
17:43
But in part just because it's, I think it's fascinating so I hope other people do too.
17:47
But like this one's particularly great in whoever wrote the, the lawsuit Kept inserting praise of Tyra Banks.
17:55
So it's like, one of the line, it's like, "A champion for women and girls." Like, and then there's like a whole section about everything Tyra's done for the world.
18:03
And it's like, what does this have to do with the lawsuit? You know, what, what are we...
