But how have you found this season so far?
23:16
It's, uh, it's difficult.
23:18
It's gonna be challenging.
23:19
But, uh, I think once the new players bed in, I think if we can get to the October break, because you see we never had a game for two weeks, and you can see the fruits of the, obviously the training and the, the friendlies.
23:32
Uh, and so hopefully by the October break, we've still, we've got a couple of more points in the bag, and then we've got three weeks to, the new signings to start getting more into John McGlynn's way and getting worked in.

15 MINS LATER

38:48
Aye.
38:48
And Poker, Poker got a, uh, he played, the game is due, he played the advantage and I think we got a corner out it, but, uh, he, he never even looked at it.
38:58
Or we got four boys booked yesterday, uh, and he was quick to brandish a yellow card.
17:42
You came in as president, and then the coach sat there where you're sitting now and said he didn't agree with it.
17:49
Yeah, it, it was a difficult time for the footy club.
17:51
Um, Brad's a really experienced coach and has seen a lot of, um, you know, things within football that we hadn't seen.
17:56
And it was very clear when we, we'd heard that Zach had met with, um- With, um, the Hawthorn coach that there might've been something we're gonna have to deal with at a point in time.
18:05
So we got together, and Brad was very clear that we need to work out now what the parameters of a deal looks like, because he felt if it got right to the last minute, the club would fall under pressure and would buckle, and we wouldn't take a good deal that we needed to with Zach.
18:18
So I promised on behalf of that group that if it got to that point, that they thought the deal wasn't good enough for Zach, that I wouldn't buckle under the pressure for the club.
18:26
So everyone was aligned to that.

Was it a mistake not taking that deal?
10:33
You came in as president, and then the coach sat there where you're sitting now and said he didn't agree with it.
10:39
Yeah, it, it was a difficult time for the footy club.

So I promised on behalf of that group that if it got to that point, that they thought the deal wasn't good enough for Zach, that I wouldn't buckle under the pressure for the club.
11:17
So everyone was aligned to that.
11:19
I'm not trying to rewrite history.
11:51
Was it a mistake not taking that deal?
3:57
You've come in, you've got your right hand man here as well, who doesn't take, he's very serious and he wants success, but in all seriousness, You want success at this club.
4:07
Oh, absolutely.
4:08
We want success for our fans.
4:10
We're all frustrated with the lack of success.
4:12
So to bring that, we've got to do things differently.
4:15
We've got to be more on the front foot with everything we do, from the way the men's and women's programs train right through to what decisions we're making in the boardroom.
4:23
So for me, that's exciting.
4:45
One thing you love about playing with each other, what did you love playing with Welshi and vice versa? Well...
