Um, so just as we're returning from Arthur's place, the last thing to ask you, Andrew, is what's happening next? What's the plan for the swift group, the network?
21:15
S- we're trying very hard to encourage everybody that's involved to record as many sites of nests across Dumfries and Galloway, um, in the next two to three weeks, while the breeding birds are here.
21:29
As we build the picture, we can then look at where we think we might need to prioritize things.
21:36
Um, maybe if we've got a, a colony that's at risk, if there's building, uh, work going on, we need to look after that.
21:44
We have a, a slightly strange, uh, wildlife protection in, uh, UK in that it's protected in the nest and making the nest, but it's not protected in the closed season when the birds are away.
21:59
Um, whereas in Europe, a lot of the places, uh, actually protect the nests all the time.
22:05
Um, so we're trying to work with places, um, to support them in positive action.
