um not a shot at rich because he's yeah the goat but like um you know i wanted to be competitive i've always loved weightlifting um my father had to credit him for giving me the athletic drive of everything my mother too but my father's mostly the athletic person in the family and he was pretty strict and adamant about not lifting before college uh so it's always something i really wanted to do because all my friends were doing in high school Once I got to college, I ended up lifting a lot.

I got NCHS, I think, all American for weightlifting in college, which is pretty weird for a swimmer to get.

And then after junior year, I found a little bit more information about CrossFit.

I started diving into CrossFit.com, main site workouts, tried to do them on my own, like body weight stuff like Cindy, things like that.
