How does the authority theme come into this parable and hold over from what Jesus has been talking about?

Yeah, I think the key will be here with the authority issue is, as we're going to see in a moment, the vineyard owner is going to send his son who should have all the authority over the vineyard.

The other, one other Old Testament text that I think is in the background here, maybe not as prominent, but important because it deals with the same issue of owning a vineyard is, you can't help but think of the story of Naboth, right? Like Naboth is this beautiful Christ figure Almost like, I almost want to say like unintentionally, like he's just trying to be a faithful Israelite, right? He's like, Ahab, you can't have this.

This is my family's inheritance in the land, right? In 1 Kings 21.

You can't have this.

This is mine.

God gave this to me, to my family.

He's a master that, that wants the fruit for the sake of joy and for the sake of, of being with his people.
