What actually changed and why does that matter right now for health systems who are thinking about their next refresh cycle?

Andrew LamkinGUEST
As everyone knows, there are so many different pieces in play right now as far as systems are getting more complex, the EHR is getting more complex, so it's no surprise that patient monitoring is today very complex.

Andrew LamkinGUEST
But I think what's really interesting is that we're starting to see more and more ecosystems of products designed around modular, swapping different pieces in and out of the system, different acuities having different pieces of hardware.

Andrew LamkinGUEST
And I think to me the most interesting part of that is the monitoring hardware itself starting to be more and more focused on what it does best, which is acquire high-quality, reliable data at the patient.

Andrew LamkinGUEST
And while there's always been that specialization, what's cool now is that it's connected in a way that is very truly interoperable and swappable so that different pieces from different vendors can actually be plugged together to create something greater.

Andrew LamkinGUEST
And so as an engineer [chuckles] what's really fun about that is to do well that requires a systems style of thinking where, okay, we're gonna select what's best and what are we really trying to do here? Let's pull the right pieces, put it together, and go do that.

Can you tell me about a monitoring use case that you've seen or that you've built that genuinely surprised you? Something that made you think, "This is what next generation monitoring actually looks like."
