Apart from it being extremely adorable though, Andrew, what else does it tell us?
23:08
I mean, in the budgies, we did experiments where we had the budgies in a cage and they were paired together and there was a barrier between them.
23:17
and the barrier could either be transparent or opaque.
23:21
And we measured the frequency of their yawning in both conditions.
23:24
And when the barrier was opaque and they couldn't see one another, their yawns were random in their distribution.
23:31
But when the barrier was removed and they had visual access to one another, their yawns were significantly clustered together.
23:38
The tendency for one to yawn triggered the other one to yawn.

This is so great.
