How did you first meet?

We first met at the show, like her first episode.

And just pretty quickly, it was clear that like, oh, this is somebody who has got chops like crazy.

And I think specifically both like performer and writer chops like she's such a confident performer and so able to bring like real acting to the sketches she does.

But then also like what she writes, you're also like, damn, you're good at both of those things.

That's crazy.

It feels like those people are so equipped for SNL off the jump.

Um, thinking like Mikey, Heidi, Ashley, as well as, like, former cast members who come back and host.

... it's just, it kind of, uh, as a comic now, it, I, my jaded side is like I don't like jokes that get by on energy.

But I think like there are also times where I see other comics and where I, sometimes where I have a joke where I'm like, "I feel like this is a good joke," but you're like, yeah, you're just not performing it right.

Like, you're just not putting the sauce on it that you need to put on it, or you haven't figured out the timing and the, uh, what it...

Like, this is a good idea, but you haven't put together how to perform it yet.
