I know that going into game number one you had no idea what to expect, but what you got, what did you feel?

Well, I thought we did a lot of good things.

I thought I really liked our hop off the start.

I thought our start was good until we got in a little penalty trouble.

It deflated us a little bit, and I thought we got going a little bit in the second period.

And we knew it was going to be a tight game, one goal, two goal game, and gave ourselves a chance with a big goal by Roman.

And the third period, not quite to my expectations of getting going, but that's a good team that shut down in the third, and we couldn't get inside that much.

number two, were you happy with practice yesterday, first of all?

Just where, where do you think he is right now? What did you see from him? And, you know, just, I guess, how do you, how do you envision this year unfolding for him?

Yeah.

I, I think with, with Brady, obviously with the, the new rules of, of being able to, you know, send one player, one 19-year-old to the American Hockey League to, to play there instead of back to junior probably changed the shade of a bunch of different things.

Um, I think with Brady, you know, I think coming in, again, it's such a short camp, and I think the depth of what we have up front to start this year is a little bit different than, say, last year.

Um, he was okay early.

I thought he played some good exhibition games.

But I think as an organization, we want him to play big minutes.

Just where do you think he is right now? What did you see from him? And just, I guess, how do you envision this year unfolding for him?

What kind of things did you think about this offseason just in terms of what might help spark a better start this season? About everything.

So did you always have the itch, or is it something that developed naturally perhaps over time and just through all of these different roles that you had?

Yeah, I think it developed over time.

I don't think...

I kind of had a premonition that I wanted to be a general manager.

I want to build a team, want to put a team together.

And I think every player, we all think we're GMs to a fault.

Sometimes we don't understand how hard it is and the things that go into it.

Any thoughts on that season?
