Um, ERDS is the 100% by the book doctrine way to divest equipment because you're essentially laterally transferring.

I say essentially.

You are laterally transferring the equipment from your UIC to ERDS, and ERDS is serving as a middleman to then move that equipment to another operational unit, a unit that's not deactivating.

So for example, we might have 40 pro masks that are going from ERDS, or as I was, they're 40 pro masks that are going from our unit that's deactivating to ERDS, and then ERDS is gonna turn around and take those pro masks and send them to a unit at Fort Campbell, for example.

So do what you can to support the war fighter, and have fun doing it.
