What is so different now between M2 and M3 a- and what is it going to allow you to do in terms of delivery expansion and scale?
3:10
Yeah.
3:11
Uh, uh, weight is a big one, right? We've been in market for several years.
3:15
Uh, we have a long history of operating in healthcare.
3:18
Started operations in Europe in 2017, here in the United States in 2019.
3:22
As we enter food and retail, we hear from customers that they need a higher payload capacity.
3:28
So 11 pounds will allow us to really serve that massive market.
6:55
Um, what is the biggest challenge in doing all of this, Andreas?
20:55
Can you talk about the current regulatory climate in the U.S. and overseas? And if, you know, you expect any changes this year? And then, you know, how quickly you expect drones to be adopted here in the U.S.?
21:10
Yeah, so 2026 is, in my view, the inflection point for drones.
21:20
To give you a sense of scale, there's probably a couple of thousand deliveries by drone every day here in the U.S. today.
21:27
And I think that number by 2030 is going to be at least 3 million, I think more likely closer to 5 million.
21:36
And we have like some big entities like Amazon, Walmart, Uber, DoorDash, they're all leaning in in pretty big ways to take advantage of the opportunity that is being generated now.
21:48
Now the reason why all this is happening is because there's been a recent change in regulatory, in the regulatory framework, that governs how drones fly in the airspace.
21:59
Up until recently, you could not fly long distances autonomously.
23:54
So what do you view Matternet's competitive advantage as outside of the FAA certification?
