At the beginning of this journey, what challenges were you trying to address and what did access look like before your work began?

This is a crisis that we're all unfortunately having to deal with at every health system, hospital, and even just small facilities that are trying to get patients in the door as quickly as possible.

When I came into this role, those problems existed and they still exist today.

What we realized about a year and a half ago, we got involved with the Vizient Collaborative To get a handle on our barriers, what can we impact immediately? And can we get some small wins? When it comes to APPs, I'm an APP myself.

I've been a nurse practitioner for almost 20 years.

We are the type of profession that can move the needle.

We can see low acuity type visits.

Have you experienced anything around that? And if so, how did you handle that?
