Yeah, we try to cover all aspects.

So yesterday, Mathis did a quality sim and was second.

And today was the sister car's turn.

We were second as well.

And in between, yeah, you try to focus on the long runs, which is not easy on this track with the tires and the type of asphalt we have.

You're sliding a lot.

Obviously, you bring so much experience to the team and today pays off after one year again.

What is it to be back sort of at home here? There's a special energy.

Yeah, it's amazing.

Japanese racing fans are incredible, and the motorsport culture is very rich here.

I've spent racing here 15 years, and I lived actually quite close to here for three years in my first years, and had an amazing time here.

And yeah, it's always great to be back.

I left in 2017, but yeah, thanks to the WEC coming back every year, and now we are showing the Japanese fans who Genesis is, and not a bad starting position for both cars.

Well, and we hope we transform it, you guys transform it from a great starting position.

Yeah, definitely a big challenge.

it is always very special.

This race is amazing, and the people, the fans, And all the energy we put in that, the purpose we find in this to feel alive, you know, with this sport and this race.

So, yeah, very grateful to be here.

Is it fair to say so far this weekend has gone better than you expected?

How are you managing to drag this forward using all your experience? What are you giving the guys in this garage?

First of all, it's amazing to be here as a new brand, new genesis.

We're 10 years old as a car brand, but now we're coming into motorsport with this project.

We're pretty happy with our beginnings.

It's not easy to join a championship that late with a brand new team and a new car.

It's very challenging, but we have a lot of ambitious people here.

The team hired some good experienced guys.

Do you have good long distance pace? What's the race stance like?
