But it really depends on what you're doing.

Yeah.

It's natural to think, well, I want the best data.

And I think, you know, there obviously are a lot of applications where you do want really high accuracy, very high resolution.

But there's a lot of, there's a lot of applications where that's, that's overkill and that's gonna lead to a lot of issues, you know, with computation and storage and, you know, just cost.

And so the reality is, is that we need to be looking at data from the, the position of how we're going to use it.

And so that was actually one of the biggest topics of conversation and one of the biggest decisions that we had to arrive at in our working groups.

[chuckles] Like how, how do I add evidence to that polygon without changing the data? Are we talking about updating the attribute, like it got 17,000 thumbs up on GitHub or stars on GitHub, whatever it is? Like what, what, what are we actually talking about? Or how could you imagine this working?

Control is what it's all about.

Doing community work, boots on the ground, myself, and I know so many people that could do really amazing things with the money.

And it's a finite thing, it's a finite resource.

And it was really difficult for me making sure I made the best decision.

I took that responsibility really, really seriously.

How accessible is this for, you know, regular developers who wanna build on it?

We designed kind of the access to it to be as frictionless as possible, so sits in AWS and Azure public buckets.

You know, there's no authentication.

It's, [chuckles] you know, just go have at it.

So there's a couple different ways that you can get started.

If you want kind of that no code option, there's a browser-based tool.

You can browse, search, you can even, um, download areas of, of the data called Overture Maps Explorer.
