How is it possible for a health system to be more consumer-centric? What does that mean? And what areas are realistic in terms of What types of ways you can improve that experience for the person who's being cared for?
19:01
Great question.
19:02
But I'm going to start with who is the consumer? And this in healthcare is the most important conversation because does the consumer have insurance? Can the consumer afford an Oura Ring? Does the consumer have transportation to get to an appointment? does, you know, I think that when we define a consumer, many of us have this kind of general retail consumer in our head.
19:40
But healthcare is so different because the financing is so different.
19:47
You know, imagine, you know, when you think of an average retail place, you go into a I don't even know, go into Safeway.
19:55
You buy, you know, you go and you get something.
19:57
You don't generally leave the store without paying, right? That's what we usually think of when we think of consumers.

I've never heard it that way.

I've never heard it that way.
16:25
It's
16:26
easy to get sidetracked, especially in our world.
16:28
We've got lots of micro businesses in what we do.
16:33
We have a large geography.
16:35
We have, you know, it's just, it's easy to get lost.
16:39
So I think that having that North Star, that purpose, the why, people are not inspired by the what.
16:47
You know, I always use the example, the simplest example that I can provide regarding this is If you tell someone the what, clean the chair.

How important is the K-12 system to your workforce pipeline?
4:55
Bessler.
4:56
Sure.
4:56
Thanks so much.
4:57
So for us, the whole primary care provider piece of what we do is largely about access, right? How do people connect with their healthcare? How do we provide care navigation for what they need? It usually starts somewhere in that, you know, primary relationship.
5:18
And, and I say that very specifically because there's some models of primary care that are much more transactional.
5:25
If you're, you're going to be a, just a pure telehealth client or, you know, with a, with a different, uh, provider every time you visit, you know, you need something urgently.
5:36
I think that our primary care access and relationship is so critically important for having a shot at keeping people well, having them navigate the system more efficiently, which is critically important now- Going into an era where we're gonna have so much less resources, we need to learn how to maximize these, our providers.

H- how do you sort of see this alignment a- among sort of finances and clin- clinical and so forth?

6:03
That is definitely not where we're at.
