What is the risk of building a business without owning your intellectual property and as well as the trademark?

I know I sound dramatic, but it's dangerous, and it will force that person to continue to look over their shoulders, whether they know it or not, because you, I like to say, you often can't control what you don't own.

So I want to give, and I may be jumping the gun with this, Everybody who offers a service or product that's out in commerce, which means you are selling it to somebody outside of yourself, it's usually an indicator that you have a landing page or website or something where it can reach people in the world.

You need a trademark.

What does that actually mean? And where are some platforms that educators are actually building on rented land?
